Washed in the Blood of Jesus

There are many commercials advertising the sell of products that will take the stains right off of our clothes.  My favorite commercial is the one where a young man is being interviewed for a job.  While he is giving his credential, the person interviewing cannot help but stare at the talking stain.  That's all he could focus on.  In the same way, we think that God can only see our stains (our sin) and that we are not worthy of God's attention.  But praise the Lord, because Jesus died on the cross for us, we have been redeemed from all unrighteousness through the blood of Jesus Christ.  In Colossians 1:21-22, Paul said: "And although you were formerly alienated and hostile in mind, engaged in the evil deeds, yet He has now reconciled you in His fleshly body through death, in order to present you before Him holy and blameless and beyond reproach...(NASB, 1995)"  Once we have accept Christ in our heart and received the salvation that Jesus has given us, we are now made white as snow without any blemish on our character.  God now sees us through the blood of Jesus and he no longer sees the stain of our past.  God is so merciful!  I pray that you continue to seek after God and continue to hold fast to your faith and God will continue to build your character to be more like Jesus.
